"GIRL'S JUST WANNA HAVE FUN"

I just love dressing up when Im going out with my girlfriends.. and usually what we do when we go out is eat, eat, eat... and after that we'd go for coffee, and more eating at "kopitiam's"/cafe's.. And when I do go out with them, I tend to dress up a bit more 'edgy' (if you can call this 'a bit edgy') than the usual vintage looks I usually wear.. And I LOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE sequins! And can't stop picking on all sequined based stuff.. and writing this post makes me miss them, and eating! We are just a bunch of 'always laughing and non-stop eating girls...'

HIJABI FASHION WEEK/DAY 2 : EID MUBARAK

Salam to all ;D First of all, I want to say thank you to my Mum, who very kindly took these pictures for me this morning.. (THANK YOU MUM) As we are cerebrating Eid Mubarak tomorrow, it's only fair EM included Eid as one of the HFW looks ;) And I hope you girls like mine.. Coming from Malaysia, we usually wear Baju Kurung, but for a more modern take, Kaftans are really 'in' right now, and of course beadwork...

What I wore: OLDBLOSSOMBOX Premium beaded kaftan (it's pretty heavy, and Sold Out at my boutique), I paired it with my Kurung's sarong.. a cotton eyelet embroidered fabric my Mum bought from UK, ombre scarf, OLSBLOSSOMBOX pink suede heels and UNIQLO long sleeves inside ;)

HIJABI FASHION WEEK/DAY 1 : WORK WEAR

Hello, yeaaaay! The first look for Hijabi Fashion Week is Work Wear ;) Myself being a boutique owner and sometimes fashion designer/blogger, my daily work wear outfit is 'FUN', as you can see from all my previous styleshoots, and even when I was working in Fashion in MARIE CLAIRE MALAYSIA magazine (before owning a boutique) my dress-up sense is still the same..

What's important to me when dressing up, is having those little pieces of mix and match that still defines your personality, even though you have to put a boring work wear outfit... or any other occasion.. try adding a fun/colourful bag, or some quirky heels, or a bright top under your work jacket...

When I wore this, I really did have a meeting.. It was with POSMALAYSIA regarding 'online shopping'... I wanted to dress appropriately, but also with things that defined who Iam, and I superlove vintage and anything that looks vintage. So I wore a VINTAGE school boy blazer, brown basic top inside, TOPSHOP jeans, and to add in some "fun-ness" and "me" into the rather plain outfit.. I wore an ethnic printed scarf my Mum gave me, VINTAGE owl and floral brooches, OLDBLOSSOMBOX vintage-like watch necklace, a colourful CHARLES&KEITH heels, a serious but quirky brown bag, and as a colour splash: an OLDBLOSSOMBOX bow and polka dot laptop clutch..
